Should working illegal immigrants be given temporary amnesty?

Amnesty is an act by passed by the federal government which grants immunity from immigration laws to undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S. Various levels of criteria have been proposed for immigrants to be granted amnesty including proof of employment and willingness to pay taxes.

I feel that if illegal immigrants are doing good for the state and the people around them they should be allowed a path to citizenship as they have shown that they are able to be a contributing member of society.

Yes, if they are able to prove that they work and pay taxes and are contributing to the country they should be able to live here without the fear of deportation until they are able to file for residency
