Yes, and we should re-evaluate our immigration laws to make it easier for immigrants to come in legally.

 @984QNJ6Independent from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes if they were born here, but it should not grant citizenship to their parents. Their parents should be offered expedited citizenship process.

 @B5ZPGTTIndependent from Pennsylvania  answered…1wk1W

All illegal immigrants should be granted a path to legal citizenship following either the payment of a fine or military service or community service

 @B3ZX5YB from Pennsylvania  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, but the parents should still be made to go through their own process for trying to gain citizenship instead of automatically gaining one from having a child. This should be if a child was born in the US if not, then continue a standard and fair citizenship application process.

 @B2C2N4C from Pennsylvania  answered…6mos6MO

Yes but not their parents. But the government should increase funding for the kids and they should be in schools and have a reliable source of income. The families should ultimately choose what happens. I think there should be a choice but, these children should be with their families.

  @JcawolfsonGreen  from Pennsylvania  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, but only if born/raised here. Additionally, the citizenship test should be given as a requirement for school graduation. This would ensure all birthright citizens are as civically educated as naturalized citizens, of which I strongly support dreamers becoming. However, the illegal immigrating parents of dreamers will have an opportunity to formally apply and earn citizenship — or face justified legal consequences (which might include deportation).

 @9YFHRQW from Pennsylvania  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, and allow the parents a work visa until the child has graduated, dropped out, or been emancipated.

 @9Y5BVVP  from Pennsylvania  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, but they need to have either been born here or brought by parents when under a certain age (14 or 15, say), and they must formally apply if they are over that certain age as well like other new citizens, but there should be a streamlined path for children, and not automatic citizenship for parents.

 @9XFTVBN from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

Create a second-class citizen system (politically incorrect, but may be useful) that also grants paths to formal citizenship

 @9XFH8J8 from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

yes and no yes becouse there own person they may not be like there parents but i dont thing you should fully trust them

 @9X2GHF7 from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

Yes but they should have to learn how to be an American citizen but their parents should be able to get higher on the citizenship line.

 @9WZ3VNJ from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

They should but their parents would have to be in the country for at least 2 years since many people travel to the US to have their kid and go back to the country they are from just so their kid is a US citizen

 @9WXWSCSRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

Children should stay with their parents if at all possible to do so safely. If the parent is illegal they should be deported or given the opportunity to apply for citizenship.

 @9WWHDHX from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

I believe we should start a peace corps type national service for those who want to obtain citizenship where they can contribute to the needs of the country (elder care, infrastructure work, child care, whatever is needed)- and also gain an education and work experience, and also open this to all Americans to earn “free college or trade school

 @9WTC9N8 from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

I think legal immigrant should be citizens,but the kids of illegal immigrants should get a background check and there parents should too and if they aren't causing problems than they should get citizenship.

 @9WT4F86 from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, depending on their age. If they are old enough to speak and understand a test to become citizens, they should apply like normal, but if they are too young, they should be granted citizenship.

 @9WQ7SS4 from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

Over a certain age they should be required to formally apply but immigrant children born here should be granted legal citizenship if under that age.

 @9VXPTX9 from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

Yes as long as they are with their parents if they don’t have their parents they should be deported.

 @9VPC2XY from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

If their parents are working on becoming a citizen then they should be allowed. Families should not be separated though.

 @9VB9S78 from Pennsylvania  answered…10mos10MO

I think it depends on the age of the child. If they're older, then they should have to become a citizen like everyone else legally.

 @9V9P2KTWomen’s Equality from Pennsylvania  answered…10mos10MO

Yes because they are innocent children but they have to pass a test to make sure they aren't brainwashed or something

 @9RX8YSB from Pennsylvania  answered…11mos11MO

No. 14A §1 Illegal immigrants are not subject to the jurisdiction of the US, but of the country to which they have citizenship. i.e. NO SUCH THING AS ANCHOR BABIES OR DREAMERS.

 @9MCBDBZ from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

No and change the law also so that rich foreigners can't come here and give birth just to gain citizenship for offspring

 @9LRTJYQ from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

No, illegal immigrants should be deported if they are not showing the ability or initiative to support themselves after 5 years and their dependents would therefore go with them.

 @9LGCCZ7 from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

IF they have not committed crimes, they should be able to earn a right to LEGAL RESIDENCY by performing a specified period of public service in an area of need. All undocumented immigrants (including their parents) should have this opportunity.

 @9K8DW3R from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

if they have a family member then yes but if their parents are getting deported they should not be here alone unless the parent wants it but if not they should be sent back with their parent

 @9JQLPQB from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

Upon reaching the national age of majority, they can apply for citizenship, if they are still in the US without documentation.

 @9JKD4YZLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, if they were born here, but the legal process should be easier for citizens of neighboring county. Shouldn't have to pass test about American history...should be about modern cultural and legal need to knows.

 @9JJTFQXRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

yes, they can be protected by us but their parents need to fill out citizenship to be allowed with them or the child goes back

 @9JH8HW8 from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

Born and raised here since birth … yes at age 18 and with probationary 10 or 5 year period after in which no serious crimes are committed

 @9JCHZMD from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

Issue children of illegal immigrants green cards until their parent apply them for citizenship or if they chose to not pursue citzenship

 @9J7RJJDIndependent from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

No, but the parents should be offered a chance to earn legal citizenship if the child was born here, and should they achieve it then the child should be naturalized along with the parents.

 @9J2LQT7Democrat from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but they should apply for it but it should be made substantially easier and we should be allowing more people become citizens each year.

 @9HSWFBQ from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

They should only be citizens in the event that an illegal immigrant is in due process of becoming a citizen

 @9HQ874X from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

it should really be up to the president me personally no because they are illegal and should get in the legal way

 @9HNH4Z8 from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but we should create a temporally citizenship system that has few regulations, and people can get it and have the rights of every other citizen for 5 years. This would give them time to fill out the actual citizenship process.

 @9GFL4YN from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, as they were born in the States but it should not grant their parents citizenship, regardless their parents should still be able to apply for citizenship.

 @9GF27ZB from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

I feel that the parents should be legal U.S. citizens before having the child but if the child is born on U.S. soil they should be considered a citizen going through a process to become U.S. citizens.

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian  from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, currently the 14th amendment grants this right. However, we should pass a new constitutional amendment disallowing birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants

 @9G3TVRB from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, if at least one of their parents is a citizen of the United States at the time they were born here.

 @9G3KD49 from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

No, because if a child is born in the US and becomes a citizen, he/she loses their family if they are deported. If the parents are able to stay in the US however, then yes.

 @9FZJQ9SJustice party member from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

No, the addition of imigrants crossing the border into the United States I believe was to influence the census and because only 7 states don’t allow non citizens to vote. This would enable their parents and themselves to vote without processing as a citizen and would have a bias towards republican and democratic parties because of their parents status. Since it would undermine the election process they should not be guaranteed citizenship and should have an age limit where they(motivating their parents as well) must complete their citizenship process or all be deported.

 @9FVH638 from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Their parents would need to undergo the process of obtaining legal citizenship for their child to be considered a legal citizen.

 @9FRFL3T from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

I think that they should be granted citizenship if they were born in America and passed their citizenship test.

 @9FPX27T from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes however if their parents are deported they should also have the right to be deported to stay with their family if they choose.

 @9FLS428Progressive from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only if they go through the correct immigration forms and other tests and checks

 @9FKP3GH from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9FKHSYR from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

no but, if the parent gets a green card have a discount for the kid (12 and below)

 @9FHD5GTRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes if they are born here, they are US citizens. DACA children who have lived here since age five or less, yes. All others should be deported.

 @9FH7SQGIndependent from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

I think it depends on how old the child is. If the child is under the age of 13 I believe they should be a legal citizen, especially if they were born there, but if they are 13+ they should apply and be qualified to be a legal citizen.

 @9FGZK5X from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9FGR428 from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

No, slippery slope because it allows for child trafficking because people are allowed to claim children as their own for that reason

 @9FGF27Q from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9FGC3QN from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

I mean they were born in America so it would make them an automatic American citizen anyways

 @9FFYHSH from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

I believe that there is a law that says that a person is a citizen of whatever country they are born in. However, I do not believe that the parents should get citizenship.

 @9FFRBX8  from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, only if the child is under 18 then the parents should be allowed to come witht he child.

Depends on if they are born here or if their parents will be granted citizenship, because if they aren't then the child will have no legal guardian in the states.

 @9FC6PFZ from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

All illegal immigrants should be give an opportunity to acquire citizenship

 @9FBR43S from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

If the child was born in the U.S yes, if not they should have to go through the legalization process.

 @9FBFR9JPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

depends on who and when they came to America and if they are a threat to America then no

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian  from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

No, currently the 14th amendment grants this right, however, we should pass a new constitutional amendment disallowing birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants

yes but only if they pass the citizenship test and have and extensive background check done on them and their family

 @9CFLRVX from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but there must be repercussions for illegal entry into this country. Whoever brought them here must face consequences.

 @96T2WVQ from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

No, all illegal immigrants should be deported. IF WE allow them to stay, at AGE OF MAJORITY they must formally apply like every other new citizen or BE DEPORTED! They AFRE NOT CITIZENS!

 @968924B from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

I would agree with is if they serve like 4-6 years of college or military, but they should be formally apply just like everyone else.

 @95BL2W7 from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

 @94SLMWT from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, if at least one of their parents was a citizen at the time of their birth

 @94RLCLW from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

 @94FVBXM from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

They should all be offered or helped to become a citizen and become legal.

 @93VMSM6 from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93R74DL from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes children have no ability to consent but should also follow a path of citizenship.

 @93P3R98Libertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93LDMT6 from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, no human is illegal on stolen land; their families should be granted citizenship as well.

 @934G65Y from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Make it easier for parents to be citizens if the children are born here. Do not separate children from their parents!

 @932MKR8 from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as well as their parents, children cannot take care of themselves alone.

 @92W72GT from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

If they were born here or if they were brought as children and grew up here (dreamets)

 @92VZSM7Independent from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, if they were born here and offer immediate family quicker paths to US citizenship to continue taking care of their children

 @92JKG2KRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but make the US citizen test easier so legal citizenship is easier to achieve

 @92FG5JQ from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, if they were born here and if not, they were residing for at least 3 years

 @926DH3Q from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes but only if less than the age of 12 and their parents are no longer able to take care of them, if 13 and up do not deport them but put them in a shelter or place where they can be adopted

 @9245WHKPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but the parents should be required to get citizenship for themselves.

 @8ZXPTMW from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

It depends on the intentions of the illegal immigrants. What is the purpose of the people who came to the united states?

 @8ZPLVXS from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZNRKN9 from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

it all depends on how long the child lives there and if they are going to move coutries.

 @8ZMV7PY from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZDZQBR from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, I think that the illegal immigrants should be given a fair citizenship test, if they pass then their child should be granted citizenship if under the age of 18.
