I don't agree with this comment because of the fact that victims of rape and abuse don't have a choice whether to be pregnant because of it. It requires them to bring a baby to full term and live with and care for a constant reminder of the incident. It is not the child's fault, but it could cause the child to be raised in a bad household. In all other situations where two consenting adults knew the risk, it is their fault, and they should not be able to have an abortion.

 @BBHRSD9Republican from Maryland  agreed…4mos4MO

storngly agree; there's ocnsequences to actions and there's other means of having a child be born and not raise him/her.

 @BBN3V84 from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Unwanted babies result in other issues later on in life and victims of sexual assault should be able to get abortion

 @BBLHGLG from North Carolina  disagreed…4mos4MO

what about if both the mother and the child die and what if the child ruins the mothers life resulting in a bad life fore the child

 @BBHGLKT from Tennessee  disagreed…4mos4MO

Scientifically, an embryo does not even become a fetus until 9 weeks. It is not a baby, and treating it as such raises the number of mistreated and orphaned children in this world, unless you're actively adopting children and treating them the way they should be, you don't get to advocate for brining more life to this world when it's not your body.

Life does matter, and for this reason Americans should prioritize the quality of life of the future and current generations. Not all Americans have the resources to properly care for a child, and in a time where many states are limiting access to contraception and there is poor sex education, some people may have unplanned pregnancy and give birth to a child they are unable to care for properly. When we limit access to abortions, we limit adults ability to decide what environments are healthy to bring a child into and when. A child may suffer unnecessarily whether from their environment or…  Read more

It cannot take care of itself until it comes out of the mother. Therefore it is the mothers decision and why we cannot kill babies after birth.

 @BBHX39C from Missouri  disagreed…4mos4MO

if you aren't in a good place in life you would make the baby life harder by bringing them in they won't remember or probably even feel anything if you get a abortion

 @BBHVNSV from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

A collection of cells is not sentient. You do not charge someone with murder when they accidentally cut off their finger. A fetus is a collection of cells until it can survive outside of the mother on its own. After that point abortion should only be allowed if the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother.

 @BBHTC72 from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

Although every child deserves a life, it shouldn't be at the expense of an unwilling host. Its the same as you wouldn't want to work off the clock at a job simply because the job needs the work to be done. Im at the stance where I don't care when the baby is considered conscious or truly 'alive', I believe someone should have the right to control how their life would go. It's the same as cutting out a cancer-- cancer is alive, cancer can react and grow but it is bad for you and could kill you, the same as a child.

 @BBHT7LK from Virginia  disagreed…4mos4MO

No that is wrong their body their choice it is not best for everybody to bring in a child into the world and the circumstances do matter people intent to give their child the best life they could possibly have and sometimes it is not the right time why bring a child into the world that you know you can't take care of

 @BBHLNKL from Illinois  disagreed…4mos4MO

While this is true, I believe that a women’s right to choose overcomes all of these issues. A woman should be able to control what she is able to do with her body and by banning abortion is taking away the rights of a woman. I believe there should be a certain cut off point when she should be able to do the abortion, however it should be in a reasonable time frame in where the woman has enough time to even find out she is pregnant.

 @BBHKT78Democrat from Alabama  disagreed…4mos4MO

I believe that no one should have a say on if you should keep your baby or not. I believe that choice is up to you and no one should control your choice or body.

 @BBH65DV from New York  disagreed…4mos4MO

The cause for an abortion is varied, and sometimes, it's life or death. Again, it is the woman's choice to decide and keep herself safe and healthy.

 @BBG9LK4 from Maryland  disagreed…4mos4MO

Some children could be born into a family of poverty or overall a non-well living space growing up and if the parents are good and know they won't be able to provide for the child and give it the life it deserves it would be best if it wasn't born in some cases as sad as it may be. If someone is raped or anything like that they should't be required to carry through with a baby they didn't want or ask for in the first place.

 @BBG9HFP from Oregon  disagreed…4mos4MO

it isn't anyone's duty, if you don't want it you shouldn't have it no child should have to live a life with parent that never wanted them its not something anyone should go through that a horrible life for both the child and parents.

 @BBG92K9Democrat from Minnesota  disagreed…4mos4MO

I do not agree with pro life. A women should have the choice to do what she wants with her body. If she doesn’t want to go through with any pregnancy or birth she shouldn’t Have to.

 @BBFQNGG from Ohio  disagreed…4mos4MO

Pro choice women deserve the right to choose if they would like to endure the process of pregnancy, their body their choice.

 @BBFBRWV from Pennsylvania  disagreed…4mos4MO

The rights of the unborn do not trump the rights of the born/mother. The lives are not of equal value.

 @BBFBDD8 from Florida  disagreed…4mos4MO

Not everyone is capable of taking care of babies , rather it be forced or accidental. some cases are because of incest or rape, some may be due to unwillingness or under the influence. People should have the decision to choose whether they want to abort their baby because scientifically life doesn't begin at inception, as it is only fertilized. there is no fetus or life yet created.

 @BBF9JJP  from Maryland  disagreed…4mos4MO

a fetus shows no sign of consciousness and if the mother doesn't want to bring the baby to term the baby shouldn't be brought to term. not only for the mothers autonomy but for the hypothetical child's safety

 @BBF99C8  from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

The fact that you're ignoring how a woman feels about being pregnant tells me that you only see them as incubators and not as a real person. It is not a woman's "duty" to bear children, it is what a male-dominated society has ordered her to do. Would you trade the woman's life for the baby? Or, in the case of rape, or incest, why does the woman have to bear that burden of carrying a child they never wanted, one from a traumatic experience? Abortion should be a private conversation between the pregnant person and their doctor (if there is one available). Abortions will be performed whether or not you agree with them, but the important part is if there is access to SAFE abortions. A cluster of cells is not a human, it is, and I cannot stress this enough, a cluster of cells. They cannot think. The person carrying them can.

 @BBF8XY6 from New York  disagreed…4mos4MO

Our priority should be protecting peoples autonomy and that includes the right to an abortion. A fetus isn't conscious, it has no feeling or ability to act on its own, and it would be inhumane to prioritize that over the life of a living, breathing, and thinking woman. This thought process is also inherantly misogynistic and will likely lead to the further subjugation of women in our country.

 @BBF83P7 from California  disagreed…4mos4MO

First of all, you say that it doesn't matter on how a mother feels about bringing a baby to this word when its HER choice and her body. Who are you to tell someone its their duty when your not the one carrying a whole baby. You don't know the mother's circumstances and how hard shes struggling. Maybe she has no one to support her or was harassed and it's the harassers baby. How are you going to tell a women or someone under the age of 18 that even though its her choice, your gonna decide if abortion is illegal. It's insane to say the way she got pregnant doesn't…  Read more

 @BBF8MND from Texas  disagreed…4mos4MO

A mother should not have to carry a rapists baby, and religion shouldn't decide someone else's decision to have a baby.

 @BBF8GLK from Arkansas  disagreed…4mos4MO

That a mother who has no other choice than to let go of the bond of that unborn human life, that should be justified, and in no circumstance should that woman face predjudice for that. Maybe some regulation on unreasonable abortion could be set, but there are plenty of circumstances that a woman is and can be justified for reasons of finnancial instability, unstable parents, and the fact that the parents are not under condition health wise to have a child.

 @BBF8D9B from Kansas  disagreed…4mos4MO

Science has never proved that life begins at conception. It takes anywhere from 6-8 months for a brain and/or heart develop, and that is when I consider something alive. Without a clear heartbeat or brain activity, it is just a fetus to me. It is not the duty of someone who had it forced upon them, and you are insanely incompetent to consider it so.

 @BBF7NWL from Missouri  disagreed…4mos4MO

It's not a duty it's a choice. If a mothers life is at risk, or they're not financially stable, they can make the choice to abort their child.

 @BBNB289 from Pennsylvania  agreed…4mos4MO

Yes I agree. If the mother is unable there are many programs that can help or put the baby up for adoption.

 @BBGBKCB from Arizona  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree. Abortion is murder and should never even be considered, however, unless the mother's life is threatend. other then that NO abortion
