Abortion should exist for those who have been raped, or taken advantaged of, which means that they should be ready for anything

 @B9C5F4P from Arkansas  agreed…5mos5MO

Yes, I agree with this statement, if you are engaging in these activities with someone you are only having a one night stand with them you need to make sure you take precautions and not have one on accident, because if you are going to do it you need to make sure you are ready to have the kid(s).

 @B9GFM5C from California  agreed…5mos5MO

I mean I agree that babies should not be killed during the time they are born, but sometimes things have to be in a certain way. For example, no matter how good of a person you are, if you get hit with a gun, you are dead.

 @B9C5ZC6 from Arkansas  agreed…5mos5MO

I think all children should have the right to be born even if they are put up for adoption. If you aren't ready for a child have self control. But people who were done wrong by SA or rape should be offered government funding and support to take care of their baby.

 @B9C5C3S from Arkansas  agreed…5mos5MO

I agree. If you act in a way that could lead to having a child then you need to reap the consequences of your actions. You acted in that way and you can continue to deal with the things that come with it.

 @B9GD3B5 from California  agreed…5mos5MO

I agree with this comment, you should not be actively engaging with making a child with someone to simply be pro choice and kill the fetus. I understand there are different circumstances and different situations where you may conceive a baby in the "wrong" time however that should give someone the right to kill the baby.

 @B9C3PJ9 from Louisiana  agreed…5mos5MO

I don't agree with the authors comment because I believe that abortion should never happen regardless of circumstance.

 @B9C4V9FRepublican from Virginia  agreed…5mos5MO

Abortion should not be allowed at all unless it was miscarried. it is better to just use birth control

 @B9D4CKV from Colorado  agreed…5mos5MO

I do agree with the author on this statement. I think abortion is morally wrong, and should only be used if the cause is incest or rape. People have to know the consequences of their actions, and don't realize they are killing a human being, not a clump of cells or a fetus.

 @B9G34TCWomen’s Equality from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

IF we force people to have children especally after a mistake or a one-night stand, they will grow to resent and hate the children that come from those situations. The act itself is not just to make children; that's not the goal, the majority of the time. So if you have the option to remove some unwanted cells afterwards, so you don't create a whole human, you should have that choice and option no matter what.

 @B9GHJZB  from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

I agree that it's simply better to have a child with someone you're AT LEAST friends with, plan to marry, or are married to. And it's better to use birth control until you're ready to make that decision to bring a baby into this world, but that doesn't mean we should stop providing abortion to irresponsible people who made a mistake that will haunt them to death if they choose to have the baby.

 @B9GGCRJ from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

Not everyone has the privilege to choose weather or not they become pregnant. Rape victims or those that are not financially stable enough to raise a child shouldn't be forced into giving birth.

 @B9GDGBP from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

Abortion should be something that's available to all, regardless of the reason why they are pregnant or why they want to do it. It doesn't mean be irresponsible but we cant take it away just because some people are dumb and irresponsible.

 @B9GBCP6Green from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

Not every pregnancy is planned. People shouldn't be forced to feels like they need to carry something they do not want especially if they understand the struggles they might have at the time.

 @B9G983Q from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

Although I can see where you're coming from, I simply just don't agree. At the end of the day, if someone chooses to engage in sexual activity and later decides they don't want a child, they should have the right to make that decision for themselves. It is ultimately their body and their choice, and no one else has to live with the physical, emotional, and financial consequences except them. Especially in today's economy, having a child is not always the ideal or realistic option, and people should be trusted to decide what is best for their own lives.

 @B9FR55S from Maine  disagreed…5mos5MO

Mistakes happen and sometimes people can't bring a baby into this world and be able to support that baby. Why give birth when that baby will end up living a miserable life.

 @B9CSGGX from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

Abortion rights and laws should be implemented for people who were not responsible while doing that you shouldn't have access to that frequently.

 @B9C5TS2 from New York  disagreed…5mos5MO

There is no reliable way to be 100% sure on who was "responsible" vs "irresponsible". In fact, over 70% of SA victims do not realize they were in fact SA'd. I agree with the fact that we should be more responsible with just throwing our bodies around, but that cannot be reliably determined. Furthermore, what people do with their bodies is their choice, thus leaving the decision of abortion and irresponsible sex on them.

 @B9C7TDFDemocrat from North Carolina  disagreed…5mos5MO

When you know you are not ready to be able to support yourself along with a child, pysically or mentally it is better to just not. And why put your body through those changes when it is preventable before it is even a human being. I do understand you need to take responsibility for your actions and if you are able to provide a good life and you are ready for a baby then yay. But at the end of the day it is nobodys decision but the women going through the situation

 @B9C6YCL from Ohio  disagreed…5mos5MO

not all forms of birth control are 100% effective, someone could use protection and still end up pregnant. plan B doesn't always work either.

 @B9C65W5  from Arkansas  disagreed…5mos5MO

My opinion on abortions is that we all make mistakes and aren't prepared or it isn't the right timing or simply aren't financially stable to have a child in the planet earth.

 @B9C5W6Q  from Texas  disagreed…5mos5MO

If you make someone have a baby they do not want, that child will suffer in life and not have an auspicious future. Also, making someone go through the pain of childbirth is very sad and cruel. The mother can also try to hurt herself and the baby, just so that they may never have to give birth and can die.

 @B9C5RNVDemocrat from Michigan  disagreed…5mos5MO

i disagree, becaause people make bad decisions sometimes and they should have the right to fix and and it’s their body.

 @B9C224DDemocrat from Indiana  disagreed…5mos5MO

sometimes you can do everything right and you can still get pregnant. That doesn’t mean the right to choose should be taken away. Birth control doesn’t have 100% rate of not getting pregnant

 @B9C5JTKDemocrat from Texas  disagreed…5mos5MO

Birth control is not always effective. Sex is going to happen regardless of a person's desire to have a child. Sure, someone can argue that it was their choice to partake in those activities, but ultimately the growth of a child is occuring inside of that person's body as well, and they deserve to choose whether or not to keep it until they give birth/the baby reaches a specific point of development. It is impossible to legally justify your stance. Abortion is healthcare and it is not "conditional" based on the situation.

 @B9C7WBB from Georgia  agreed…5mos5MO

I believe that abortion is murder and should not be legal in any state. The death of a child should not be decided especially if they were irresponsible.

 @B9C6YV7 from New York  agreed…5mos5MO

I agree. People know the risk of having sexual interaction with each other. That does not give them the right to take the life they just conceived.

 @omg123Greenfrom New York  disagreed…5mos5MO

#1 Engaged Ethics Informed Social Issues Informed Abortion

Abortion is the responsible choice. You should not be making a child with someone on a one night stand or in another unplanned way. That is immoral. Do the ethical responsible thing and get an abortion.
