In my view, this should be controlled so that people who rent aren't taken advantage of with very high costs.

However it is essential that rent prices do not escalate disproportionately as living standards become less and less accessible. This can lead to dissatisfaction, homelessness, crime, lack of people to rent, and negative immigration.
