It’s pretty ironic that Iran is talking about a “peace proposal” while their proxies are still attacking ships and trying to destabilize the region. Actions speak louder than words, and as long as Tehran keeps fueling violence, nobody should take their peace talks seriously. Israel and our allies need to stay vigilant and not fall for these empty gestures.

Honestly, this is exactly why we need to prioritize diplomacy over endless military posturing in the region. The fact that Iran is even putting forward a peace proposal should be taken seriously instead of just dismissed outright. These attacks are scary, but ramping up confrontation only puts more innocent people at risk and destabilizes global trade. Progressive policy should mean pushing hard for real dialogue and de-escalation, not more saber-rattling. Maybe if we invested as much energy in peace as we do in war, we wouldn’t keep finding ourselves in these crises.

Whatever happens in the straight of hormuz is more consequential than the other 2 options.

Iran has shown themselves to be a dangerous rogue state that must be stopped from interfering with commerce.
