What is your stance on abortion?
Pro-life, but allow in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child
Systemically, it's shown that medical professional use their own judgement while treating, which can sometimes be altered due to the perception of black women having a higher pain tolerance. This is why the judgement is most safely protected in the patients hands--similar rules to if a patient is actively refusing care, you can't force care unless they're dying. If a woman is pregnant and is instructing doctors that she feels she's unable to support this child, forcing it only creates children whom grow up in toxic environments. You're opinion on the mothers specific reasoning isn't relevant, and shouldn't be relevant, as it's up to the person whom directly suffers the consequences of refusing procedure.
My sister, Toni, got an abortion. She wasn't happy to receive it, and she describes it as being an agonizing, bloody, and cruel process. She didn't wanna have to get one, and guilt tormented her for months. However, that option will infinitely be more in her favor than if she had the child. She was 20 and would've had to leave her college to support the child. While she wasn't legally Sexually Assaulted, the male who got her pregnant manipulated her into believing he would support this pregnancy, until last minute. She was alone, and I made sure to help her. the process wasn't pretty. It wasn't fun. But it saved her life, and now she's currently in therapy, has a stable job, and lives on her own, able to live life without the burden of raising a child or holding out a pregnancy she was absolutely not ready for. the thought of having to get another abortion haunts her at night, but the abortion saved her, and I'll be forever grateful that she got what she medically needed.
