I do absolutely agree that nuclear energy is one of if not the best source of energy we can manufacture and majority of arguments against it are foolish and ill informed. Though there seems to be an oversight in one of your arguments, specifically related to disposal of high-level waste. While yes, burying high-level radioactive waste would seem like a good permanent solution most of the time the main concerns that comes with burial are the containers holding said material will degrade and release radioactive waste into the soil over time. This released waste, especially if it's in a liquid form, can seep into water supplies, poison crops, contaminate wells, mix in with natural resources like crude oil we use, etc. Because nuclear energy is a more recent form of energy production, scientists haven't had enough time to research possible long-term effects of these disposal techniques as of yet. I sincerely hope and pray that we see a universal acceptance an improvement of nuclear energy, but until we can dissolve both the public preconceptions created from Chernobyl and political exaggeration and the problems posed with long term storage of nuclear waste underground.
