The latest Henley Passport Index reveals a major shift in global travel freedom, with Asian countries—especially Singapore—dominating the top spots for the world's most powerful passports.
Singapore leads the 2025 rankings, granting its citizens visa-free access to 193 destinations, while Japan and South Korea also remain near the top. In contrast, the US and UK continue their downward trend, now ranking 10th and 6th respectively, reflecting a decline in their global mobility. India made the largest leap, jumping eight spots to 77th place, now offering visa-free access to 59 countries.
The rankings highlight a growing influence of Asian nations in global mobility, while traditional Western powers lose ground.
