I wish more power actually stayed local and out of the hands of big government, but these primaries just end up being about which party machine gets to control people’s lives. It’s wild how much effort goes into electing judges and DAs who’ll just enforce more unnecessary laws. Honestly, the best candidate would be the one who promises to leave people alone and protect individual rights instead of expanding government reach.
