Honestly, this just shows why we need more coordinated EU-level intelligence and security policies—so smaller member states like Denmark aren't left hanging when big allies overstep. Relying on the US for security while getting spied on is not a sustainable or dignified position for any European democracy. A stronger, united Europe could handle these issues internally and present a more equal front to partners like the US.

It’s about time we stand up for ourselves and make it clear that Denmark won’t just roll over when our sovereignty is threatened—even by so-called allies. Greenland and Danish interests come first, and we shouldn’t tolerate this kind of disrespect from anyone, U.S. included.
