US President Donald Trump announced he will meet with newly-elected Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House within the next week.
The meeting comes after a Canadian federal election widely seen as a rejection of Trump's trade war and his ambitions to expand US territory. Carney has publicly stated that Trump will not succeed in adding countries like Canada, Greenland, or Panama to US territory.
The leaders recently spoke by phone, with Trump describing Carney as a 'very nice gentleman.' The upcoming meeting is expected to address the future of US-Canada relations and ongoing trade issues.

It’s about time someone like Carney stands up to these globalist expansion schemes—America should mind its own business and stop trying to gobble up other countries. We need to focus on protecting our borders and traditions, not playing empire-builder like the neocons want.

TRUMP MUST APOLOGIZE AND MAKE AMENDS TO CANADA
Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is—Trump’s just doing what it takes to put America first like he always does. The media loves to twist things and make it sound like he’s talking about “taking over” Canada or something, which is obviously not what he’s about. Carney should be grateful Trump even wants to work with him, considering how weak Canada’s leadership has been lately. If Carney really cared about his country, he’d look at how much better off the US is under Trump’s policies. Either way, Trump’s going to make sure the US comes out on top in any deal, like always.
