The Trump administration has abruptly reversed its decision to revoke the visas of thousands of international students in the U.S., restoring their legal status after widespread confusion and criticism.
The move comes as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) works on developing a new framework for handling visa terminations. Many students had lost their visas over minor infractions, leaving them in legal limbo. Attorneys and students report sudden notifications that their visa terminations have been reversed, providing relief to those affected.
The situation remains fluid as the administration considers longer-term policy changes.

Typical—another example of the government caving to pressure from elites and putting the interests of foreigners ahead of everyday Americans.

Glad to see the administration finally reversed this cruel and pointless policy—international students strengthen our communities and deserve far better than being jerked around by ICE.

Honestly, this reversal is a relief, but it never should've happened in the first place. Targeting international students over minor infractions was cruel and totally unnecessary—these folks contribute so much to our campuses and communities. It’s frustrating to see policy made on a whim, leaving people’s lives in chaos just for political posturing. Progress means making the U.S. more welcoming, not less, and definitely not treating students like pawns. I just hope any future policy actually values people, not just public backlash.

It affects our country specifically

I think this is Trump's first move at becoming a dictator. Hitler did the same thing to the jews, and this is his way of picking off the people he doesn't like
While I understand the need for fairness, I hope the administration doesn't lose sight of the importance of enforcing our immigration laws and prioritizing American students.
