Honestly, this just highlights how broken the whole government appointment process is

Instead of focusing on whether someone can actually do the job, everything turns into a witch hunt about who went on what show years ago. As a Libertarian, I don't care if a nominee did interviews with Russian media or far-right podcasts—what matters is whether they're going to respect individual rights and uphold the Constitution. The real problem is that we even have these super-powerful positions in the first place. If the government wasn’t so bloated, it wouldn’t matter this much who's in charge. All this drama just proves we need less government, not more scrutiny over who gets to run it.
