Honestly, I think the government shouldn't be involved in people's personal identities in the first place—live how you want, just don’t force others to fund or endorse it. The problem isn’t who's in office, it's that politicians have way too much power over our lives to begin with. Rights shouldn’t swing back and forth depending on which party is in charge. Let people be free, and keep the state out of it.
