This whole thing just shows how bloated and dysfunctional these government agencies have become

Instead of focusing on protecting individual rights, they're too busy covering their own screw-ups and punishing people to save face. Maybe if we didn’t have such an overreaching immigration enforcement system in the first place, we wouldn’t be in this mess.
