Glad everyone made it out alive, but of course, the government’s first concern is whether the pilot had "authorization" rather than celebrating their survival. The FAA’s red tape doesn’t stop accidents—it just creates more hoops for people to jump through. If someone is willing to take the risk and others choose to go with them, that should be their decision, not some bureaucrat’s. Personal responsibility and freedom should come before government micromanagement.
