This is exactly why executive power needs to be kept in check—no president, Trump included, should be able to wield authority like a king. The judiciary has a role in upholding the Constitution, but the real problem is how much power the federal government has in the first place. If we stuck to limited government like the Founders intended, we wouldn’t have to keep fighting over which branch gets to violate our rights the least.
