If it is discussed, it likely would not be appropriate, developmentally, until students are at least at the secondary level. Speak of it as any idea-system, one that is examined from the outside, with its merits and flaws discussed openly and impartially. Don't impose the lens onto students, just make them aware of its existence. History and social-sciences discuss frameworks all the time, this doesn't need to be any different if it gets discussed at all.
