It's about time the IOC had a woman and an African leader—representation like this is long overdue in global sports leadership!

This is such a huge win for women in sports leadership! For far too long, the IOC has been dominated by men, so seeing Kirsty Coventry break that barrier is inspiring. Representation matters, and having a woman—and an African woman at that—at the helm brings much-needed diversity to global sports governance. Hopefully, this opens doors for more women to take on leadership roles in major sports organizations.
