Do you support the legalization of same sex marriage?
Forcing States to Legalize same sex marriage is unconstitutional
Marriage is supposed to be a sacrament that is designated for the union of a man and a woman. Homosexuals do have the legal recognition of being united and do have legal protections with a civil union. So why can't they simply accept that?

Why can't you accept that nobody asked?
Why can't YOU accept that it doesn't affect you when two other people get married?
@HelcovichEmireRepublican7mos7MO
As a straight man, I want to have more privilege than a gay man. I strongly believe that LGBTQ is inferior, and do not deserve the same rights as straight and cis people. If gay marriage were allowed, that would put gay people as equals to straight people, which is in no way true. Gay people are inferior, sickly beings.

Your argument crumbles the second you realize marriage is not exclusively a religious institution. If it were, atheists, interfaith couples, and people getting married at the courthouse wouldn’t exist. Yet, shockingly, they do.
The government doesn’t hand out sacraments, it hands out marriage licenses. You don’t have to pray to the IRS before filing joint taxes, and last I checked, nobody is reciting the Book of Genesis before getting spousal health insurance. Marriage, as recognized by the state, is a legal contract, not a religious ritual. If your church doesn’t want… Read more

Then we need something different for people with sexual morality, I don't want to be compared to a sodomite through marriage. Calling their sodomy/buggery "marriage" is an insult to all the moral people who are married and don't commit sodomy. It is telling them "Hey, these sodomites, with their disgusting methods of sex, are just as good people as you are, and you must accept their perverted sexual behaviors as normal, not perverted".

Hmmm this sounds a lot like the "separate but equal". I mean, less extreme, but still lol. No hate, I'm sure you are a lovely person but I do need to tell you why this matters. Imagine you give one of your children a toy, the other child is going to want the same thing. I don't think equality is too much to ask for. Also sorry if this makes no sense I was typing it in my class so I was not able to look down or think about my comparison LOL.
@HelcovichEmireRepublican3mos3MO
A more accurate comparison: Imagine you give the better-behaved of your 2 children a toy. The naughty child is also going to want to same toy. But they always back-talk you and refuse to clean up their mess. They have no self-discipline, they always need to be reminded of what is right and wrong. Should you still give them the same toy you gave your other child, even though their behavior is considerably worse?

If it's a Sacrament then where's the anger about non-Christian's using the word "Marriage?" What about the anger at non-religious people getting "Married?"
Marriage is a legal contract that everyone should have as a legal right. YOU can have it act as a sacrament in your religion in addition to it's legal standard, but that is YOUR CHOICE.
@HelcovichEmireRepublican3mos3MO
Because they want to undermine all forms of sexual morality, and the first step is dismantling the true value of marriage

Respectfully, you are asking a group that lacks a fundamental right possessed by every other group to simply accept compromise. Marriage is not always a holy sacrament, but rather a legal contract under the American government. Denying that contract to anyone based on their gender alone is Constitutionally flawed.
And if marriage was a sacrament alone, the government, as per the Establishment Clause, would have no say in it whatsoever.

We never took away their rights. They can always repent and marry straight. They just refuse to, they're in the wrong and refuse to accept it and follow what's right. It's the same reason why siblings can't marry: They can't reproduce, at least not without incest. Gender/sex is a key part of defining marriage. It's like saying a man can't go into a women's changing room. Your reasoning is his sex, but in this case sex-discrimination is necessary for sexual morality. Same with marriage.
