A man is being held for questioning in connection with last week’s killing of a health insurance executive in Midtown Manhattan, the police said.
The man being questioned was identified as Luigi Mangione, 26, the police commissioner, Jessica Tisch, said at a news briefing. He was identified in a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pa., after an employee recognized him and called the authorities at about 9:15 a.m. on Monday.
Mr. Mangione was carrying identification with his name on it, along with fake I.D., according to law enforcement officials.Mr. Mangione showed the police the same fake New Jersey identification that the man believed to be the gunman presented when he checked into a hostel on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Nov. 24, a senior law enforcement official saidWhen Mr. Mangione was approached in Altoona, he had a gun, a silencer and other false identification cards similar to those they believe the killer used in New York, according to one of the law enforcement officials and a person briefed on the investigation. The gun was described as possibly being a so-called ghost gun, assembled from parts purchased online.Mr. Mangione was also carrying a handwritten manifesto that criticized health care companies for putting profits above care, according to two law enforcement officials.Mr. Mangione is in custody on local charges, the official said, possibly related to presenting the fake identification to the police. He has not been arrested or charged in connection with the killing.New York police investigators are traveling to Altoona, in western Pennsylvania, about 280 miles from the city, according to one of the law enforcement officials.
@Pl4tformCraneRepublican1mo1MO
So he's a leftwing Democrat.
@KingdomAudreyDemocrat1mo1MO
Actually no. His past posts have him leaning more towards the right.
For those of you trying to blame it on the right wing... He graduated from a left-wing college and was indoctrinated by left-wing, communist teachers. So save it. Your time is over. The man who shot John Lennon said he got his inspiration from reading Catcher In The Rye. Charles Manson was inspired by the song Helter Skelter. The more this blame game is played and everything is politicized by the left, the more certainly you will never win an election again . We're tired of it. We're not buying.

And even if he was, how’s this your simpleton of a take? Left or right, much of your country are suffering. It’s irrelevant which political position they hold. It matters that both sides can come together to make things better.
Unless you have a transnational criminal organization or a government behind you, it is really hard to beat the modern surveillance state once it locks in

We already knew government and law enforcement allowed BLM and antifa to burn, loot, and riot in 2020, but this confirms how easy it would have been to arrest the ringleaders and stop the burning of our cities
Bro they knew who it was and what he was doing an hour afterwards they knew he wasn’t doing anything else, drug it out to make it seem like they can’t see u via satellite in 4K to continue hiding their capabilities
Who could have imagined the alleged murderer, whose violence was being celebrated by a lot of too-online overeducated white leftists, would turn out to be a too-online overeducated white leftist?
Chances this guy is a fan running smoke for the real shooter? I've heard two different stories. One that they nabbed him off a bus and one they got him in a McDonald's.
