If the police and locals had to step in because the situation is out of control, maybe they had good reason to act the way they did.

This is what happens when the government fails to protect people's rights and vigilantes take matters into their own hands. It's a perfect example of why we need less government control and more personal responsibility to keep things from spiraling into chaos.
