This is a tragic situation, but it’s also a reminder that individuals need to take personal responsibility for their health, especially when lives are in their hands. Government regulations on medical checks for pilots already exist, but clearly, they’re not foolproof. More rules aren’t the answer—better transparency and accountability from airlines would help people make informed choices about their safety.
