It's heartbreaking to see yet another cycle of violence, with both sides locked in retaliation instead of seeking peaceful solutions. Violence only breeds more violence, and innocent people on all sides pay the price.

This is exactly why Israel needs to remain strong and vigilant. Hezbollah targeting Tel Aviv is a red line, and it just proves that these terrorist groups won’t stop until they see Israel destroyed. Thankfully, our defense systems did their job, but this could have been much worse. We can’t afford to let our guard down, and we have every right to defend our citizens and our land. Retaliating is the only way to send a clear message that attacks on innocent civilians won’t be tolerated. The whole world needs to understand that Israel will always stand up for its survival. We have to stay united and support our military.

The Israeli military said it intercepted a missile fired from Lebanon today that for the "first time in history" targeted economic center Tel Aviv. The missile was fired from the area of Nafakhiyeh in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces said earlier this morning, before announcing its forces had struck the launcher it was fired from.
