President Biden said Wednesday that he was "outraged" by the killing of an American activist by an Israeli soldier last week and that Israel needs to take "full accountability" for the incident.The big picture: Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, was shot in the head during a protest in the town of Beita last Friday. The Biden administration had pressed Israel to swiftly provide information on the incident, and the IDF investigation was concluded unusually fast due primarily to the fact that she was an American.
"I am outraged and deeply saddened by the death of Aysenur Eygi," Biden said in a statement Wednesday, calling her shooting "totally unacceptable."
While he said there needs to be "full accountability" for the matter, Biden appeared to back Israel's claim that the shooting was accidental, calling it a "tragic error resulting from an unnecessary escalation.""Israel must do more to ensure that incidents like this never happen again," Biden added.

If Biden weren't the demented old man that he is I doubt his "advisors" would have told him that lie and have expected him to be the face of it. He has forever been a massive liar and fabricator but I'm not sure he wouldn't have pressed for a better story than that when he had his mental capacities.
