The simple fact that leaders dispute evidence in and of itself does not erode my trust in democracy; however, the failure of the system to hold those leaders accountable in any real way certainly erodes my trust in democracy. In particular, the politicization of the impeachment process and the utter failure of the Supreme Court make me very concerned about the future stability of the US.
