President Biden is expected to announce a new immigration program Tuesday that would provide a path to citizenship for hundreds of thousands of immigrants in the country illegally who are married to U.S. citizens, according to lawmakers and others familiar with the matter.
Biden plans to make the announcement at the White House alongside members of Congress, immigration advocates and U.S. citizens who, because of arcane immigration rules, haven’t been able to sponsor their spouses for green cards.
The program has the potential to benefit immigrants who have been living in the country at least a decade, offering them work permits, deportation protections—and a route for them to apply for green cards, which is the pathway to citizenship. The program’s size would make it one of the largest immigration initiatives started in recent decades, rivaled only by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that former President Barack Obama created to benefit Dreamers in 2012. The White House is also planning to mark the 12-year anniversary of that program, known as DACA, at the event Tuesday.

If this was such a great program, why didn't Biden do this in his first year in office, and not an election year.

Many of the things Biden has done recently could very easily have been done in his first two years in office, especially when the Democrats had control of Congress.
That tells me these things were probably identified in the first 3 years of Biden's Presidency, but "banked" for the fourth year as a way to buy votes.
So the question now becomes, what other surprises does he have for us in the next 4 months?
In all likelihood, the surprises we'll see will get progressively more illegal the closer we get to November 5th because even the plainly illegal ones, the ones that will obviously be overturned by the courts, may still buy him some votes.
More vote buying by Biden.
What he really wants is those 10 million illegals he let in to vote for him and the Dems.
California is giving them driver’s licenses and ID cards for just that purpose.
That and all the illegal harvesting at nursing home/funeral homes, absentee/mail in votes will put them over the top, or so they hope.

This is insulting to all the immigrants that came thru the legal channels. So now all you need to do is jump the wall and find a citizen spouse and voila, you get a green card.
Biden's next move will be to issue an Executive Order that will allow all illegals who join the Democratic Party to automatically receive full citizenship at that time so they can then register to vote.
What, you say that would be illegal and a violation of US laws?
Sure it is, but how many other laws has he violated with impunity, only to have the overturn by the courts? And when would this Executive Order get overturned by the courts? Before or after November 5th?
