Hezbollah launched more than 170 rockets and several more missiles and drones at northern Israel on Wednesday, in what it said was a response to the killing of a senior commander in the terror group by an Israeli airstrike a night earlier.
The barrages marked the largest attack carried out by Hezbollah during ongoing fighting on the Lebanon border, amid the war in the Gaza Strip.
The successive attacks began on Wednesday morning with a barrage of at least 90 rockets fired at several areas in northern Israel, including Tiberias — for the first time amid the war — Safed and Rosh Pina, sending tens of thousands of people to shelters, as Jewish Israelis celebrated the Shavuot holiday.
The Israel Defense Forces said another 70 rockets were then launched at the Mount Meron area, home to a sensitive air traffic control base. Ten more rockets were fired at Kibbutz Zar’it, and an anti-tank guided missile struck a factory of the Plasan armored vehicle manufacturer in Kibbutz Sasa, causing damage.
Later in the morning, a drone launched from Lebanon detonated in an open area near the northern community of Zivon, local authorities said.

How Hezbollah's math?
If Israel have 4 batteries in the north, with 4 launchers each, that's 320 interceptors.
Anything less than 500 rockets in less than 60 minutes from Lebanon will have zero effect.
@HumanRightsVultureGreen2yrs2Y
Zero effect ay?
Mans acting like the iron dome rockets are free
40k USD a head… meanwhile Hezballah rockets are a few hundred dollars. Hezballah has got cheap suicide drones as well.
This is financially unsustainable for Israel.
Admitting you’re part of the problem, is a good first step: Hezbollah is targeting civilians. Spray and pray. Israel does quality precision strikes on military targets.

The war or attrition between Israel and Hezbollah is extremely dangerous, not just b/c of risk of major escalation and leaving tens of thousands displaced, but b/c it is allowing Hezbollah a testing ground for its arsenal, as I write in this piece
Israel and west dont seem to be reporting any massive attack. Either hezbollah is trying to inflate a few rockets to appear like its responding to death of its key figures. Or the whole thing is just made up for domestic audiences
The north is burning, Command Posts and barracks hit and someone speaks about the dome. The batteries, monitoring and warning systems have been destroyed first. For Hizbollah Israel is naked.
Not all missiles can be intercepted by the iron dome & patriot system. Hezbollah has been attacking the batteries to the iron dome. Lessons learned from the SMO in Ukraine.
