However, mixing those changes with the campaign finance provisions seems like a sneaky way to get controversial policies passed. While the government should indeed be limited in its power, the transparency in campaign financing is crucial to maintaining a fair political system. It's a bit concerning to hear about the increase in 'dark money'—transparency in who funds our politicians is key to a healthy democracy, even if we want to keep government interference in our lives to a minimum.
