yeah, we always knew that Latino voters were *by definition* already citizens and therefore not directly impacted by immigration policy.

“Demographics is destiny” was never actually a strategy. It was an ideological revenge fantasy. The idea that you just have to wait, and soon, everyone you hate will be deemed irrelevant forever. And they’ll scream and cry and you laugh in their face for going extinct.

it's part of a broader cultural shift towards de-individualization that is at the heart of the split between 00s/Obama-Era progressives and mid-2010s Identity-based progressives.

Ah immigration reform was killed by Boehner and the Tea Party in 2013 when they refused to bring a bipartisan bill to the floor because it wouldn’t pass within their own caucus you know the Pedophile named rule. Dont blame this on Obama

Allow me to help Biden out. Unsecured border = disliked by Latino voters. Family unification visas = liked by same. The people who brought you “Latinx” are today wearing kaffiyehs.

This is a weird piece. The Democrats always wanted to bargain on immigration. Tougher border policies for more legal immigration. The GOP gave up on legal immigration. Somehow, this became the Democrats fault? There were two big bills b/w 2007 and 2013. The GOP rejected both!

By default the vast majority of people who deeply care about some form of amnesty for undocumented immigrants cannot vote. If you are already citizen, at best you have some people in your circle who would be helped by CIR.

We don’t need more laws. We have immigration laws in place, just enforce them. Thanks

If you were in charge, how would you address the concerns of Latino voters about immigration while ensuring the policies are fair and humane to everyone involved?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How do you reconcile the need for a country to secure its borders with the desire to keep families together and provide opportunities for immigrants?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Considering the change in Latino voters' opinions on immigration, do you believe political parties should adjust their policies to reflect these changes, even if it means reversing previous stances?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Do you think it's possible for stricter immigration policies to benefit the Latino community, or do you see it as a betrayal of cultural values?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How do you feel about the idea that a person's ethnic background should dictate their political views on immigration?
