US First Lady Jill Biden was seen pulling her husband Joe Biden, away from a D-Day commemoration ceremony in Normandy, France - leaving several social media users completely baffled.
The event to honour the 80th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Nazi-occupied France was attended by world leaders and dignitaries, including French President Emmanuel Macron.
Veteran Navy intel officer Jack Poso wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Jill Biden just pulled Joe out of the Normandy event.
Macron staying behind with the veterans.
What’s going on?"
Earlier today, the US President appeared disoriented and required assistance from Mr Macron.
Leaders from around the world gathered at the commemoration in Colleville-sur-Mer, France, where US forces suffered substantial losses on June 6, 1944, to honour the largest sea invasion in history.
Joe Biden 'pulled away' from D-Day event by wife Jill
.Here are the top political news stories for today.
How can Jill Biden allow this to continue?
The world has become a much more dangerous place in the last three and a half years because our enemies see our effete leadership.
We should all be embarrassed as Americans that this is the candidate that the Democratic Party has chosen as its candidate to lead the free world for four more years.
Pathetic, and dangerous for all of us.

Jill Biden is a horrible human and terrible wife.
No loving spouse should allow their partner to fall apart publicly on TV like this.
Because she has a large degree of sway over her husband, and she doesn't want to lose political power.
White House spends days pushing back against a Wall St. Journal story about Biden's mental and physical decline. They roll out Democrats to defend him and other media outlets, and then Biden shows up today in France and once again our own eyes and ears strike again.
@MothJoeRepublican2yrs2Y
You should see him behind closed doors. Sharp and engaged.
@C4ucusStellaLibertarian2yrs2Y
Many of us are NOT Dems or supporters of his. BUT if you look at a man's life's work, or legacy, doing something like this erases it. Any good Biden may have done in his time in Senate/POTUS is overshadowed by this sideshow of failure. History will look at him like a joke.
@CentristSheepPatriot2yrs2Y
There were 90 year old DDay Veterans who looked and sounded more on top of their game than our President did today.
@VetoJackalConstitution2yrs2Y
We’ve needed the 25th amendment to be used for quite some time now.
This happens at nearly every ceremony with Biden:
September 5th 2023:
"Biden, 80, abruptly left the ceremony after fastening the nation’s highest military decoration around the neck of retired Army Capt. Larry Taylor, 81, before the closing benediction was read by Chaplain Brig. Gen. William Green Jr."
