All liar Putin has to do is honour the treaties he has signed, instead of cynically soaking them with the blood of a generation of Russians and Ukrainians.

The much revered Obama failed big time as did the two Bush’s and Blair before him. As did Merkel. That lot had the chance to keep Putin in check and to temper his ambitions but they, as has often been the case in history, allowed small concessions over and over until we’ve landed in the same position with the same mistakes that countless thousands had to die to correct.

Russia's response to Finland joining NATO was to position missiles closer to the border with Finland, which prompted Finnish General Harri Ohra-aho to comment, "Of course, it's none of my business, but operationally it seems absurd to bring missile systems with such a long range closer to our border, they make easy targets for us,"

Lets take the gloves off and arm Ukraine with whatever it needs and allow Ukraine to use all weapons wherever they can fight back against Russian violation of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
