If Ukraine falls, history will record that mindless Republicans sold out American values to Putin, purely out of partisan spite.

 @9NGXJDLIndependentfrom Guam  commented…2yrs2Y

It is your spite against Russia that drives you to support Ukraine so fervently.

 @Freedom76 from South Carolina  disagreed…2yrs2Y

WHEN (not if) Ukraine falls, history will laugh at how stupid the fascists, socialists, and neocons of the DC uni party were to WASTE three hundred billion dollars subsidising some stupid war.

Two months ago Biden instructed Ukraine to stop hitting Russian oil refineries.

Tell us again how this prolonged war is the fault of Republicans or Trump.

 @UnstoppableMongooseDemocratfrom Wisconsin  commented…2yrs2Y

Because they refuse to pass the bill that will provide more weapons that could stop Russian advances.

Zelensky begs for air support and munitions.

The US plays politics.

"Zelensky begs for air support and munitions." And Putin delivers!

Ukraine was left with an entire, fully-equipped Soviet-era army. They did NOTHING to maintain it for over 30 years. And they'll do nothing at their own expense if allowed into NATO.

NATO was reluctantly going to admit Ukraine, 'so Russia won't invade.' And that CAUSED the invasion.

Why is it our job to protect every little tinpot dictator and money laundering country on the planet? We already overthrew one of their elected governments in 2014. Why can't we just mind our own business, instead of roaming the earth looking for wars to start?

American values are those that the Founders, such as George Washington, espoused: "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none.” Also, American values mean following the Constitution. Congress has not declared war, so the federal government should not be involved. How you like them American values?

 @Freedom76 from South Carolina  agreed…2yrs2Y

Thomas Jefferson actually said that, not Washington. However, Washington's Farewell Address was also a brilliant defense of non-interventionism and peace. Every American should read that, along with Jefferson's First Inaugural (where your quote actually came from).

 @9NGXJDLIndependentfrom Guam  commented…2yrs2Y

Why is it the responsibility of American taxpayers to fund a war on a different continent that has no effect on them? If you believe in the cause, donate privately. Intervention would be justified and a moral obligation if there were crimes against humanity on a mass scale, and in that case it would be direct military intervention that should be taken, not just funding.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Do you believe there are situations where one country should intervene in another's affairs, and if so, under what circumstances?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

What are your thoughts on the potential consequences of escalations in international conflicts, especially involving nuclear powers?
