It's about time someone took decisive action to ensure that our electoral system is protected from chaos and outside interference, and if that means tightening the rules around ballot initiatives, so be it.

Sounds like Ohio's political elite are playing fast and loose with democracy just to keep their grip on power, completely disregarding the principle of individual liberty and the right of the people to directly influence their government.

Can you believe what's happening in Ohio? It's like the Senate Republicans are trying to hijack democracy by tying Biden's ballot access to their own agenda against voter initiatives. It's heartening to see some pushback, but the fact that it's gotten this far is alarming. They’re playing dirty. Again. Turns out underhanded, undemocratic schemes to consolidate unilateral power are a feature, not a bug of Ohio’s one-party tyranny in the state. You and I are being systemically disempowered as an electoral check on imperious partisans who seek to rule not represent.

How would you feel if a law was passed that made it harder for your preferred candidate to be on the ballot?
