Seeing Illinois pass a $53 billion budget really has me concerned about the direction we're headed

It's just mind-boggling how the state thinks throwing more money at problems is the solution, especially when that money comes from hardworking taxpayers. Adding an extra $400 million on top of Governor Pritzker's already hefty proposals just feels like a slap in the face to fiscal responsibility. What's more, the fact that this was mainly a one-party push makes me question the lack of balanced debate and consideration for alternative, less costly solutions. It really highlights the need for a serious discussion about government spending and accountability.
