Vaping refers to using electronic cigarettes that deliver nicotine through vapor, while junk food includes high-calorie, low-nutrition foods like candy, chips, and sugary drinks. Both are linked to various health issues, especially among young people. Proponents argue that banning promotion helps protect the health of young people, reduces the risk of developing lifelong unhealthy habits, and decreases public health costs. Opponents argue that such bans infringe on commercial free speech, limit consumer choice, and that education and parental guidance are more effective ways to promote healthy lifestyles.

something that is not inherently extremely negative should not have promotion banned, but rather limited, whereas drug products such as nicotine, alcohol, and all other drugs should have their promotions banned and instead replaced with informative panels for each individual to weigh the risks and what they consider positives.
No, because these are businesses that could be destroyed in the process. What should happen is that each and every location that sells these things to prioritize the sells of vapes and not junk food. Kids are gonna eat junk food whether or not we like it.
No, but there certainly should be a push to discourage people from obtaining habits from these unhealthy lifestyles.

Unless the product is directly harmful to the person such as vaping or smoking then it should be banned as an advertisement. Junk food does not count because it is food and I think it is up to the parents to control what their kid eats.

No, but those who do choose unhealthy lifestyle choices should understand there are some consequences that come with it.
@9RWSX8X10mos10MO
No, but require health information on the consumption of these items to be easily found and easy to understand, similar to the warning labels on cigarettes and other nicotine products.

Yes and no. Vaping is harmful and is proven to cause cancer and other issues, while junk food is simply cheaper food that may be less nutritional but cannot do harm in small quantities
@9RG3TT710mos10MO
Yes, to things like vaping (alcohol, nicotine, tobacco, etc.) No to most foods, but yes to things like energy drinks.
@9RDQK4910mos10MO
No, but regulations should be introduced as to how they are promoted (like how there are warnings on cigarette boxes)
@9MVYDC412mos12MO
yes but only for dangerous products such as drugs and alcohol
@4KBRM54 1mo1MO
Yes, only for major destructive products (vaping, cigarettes, etc). Junk food should have warning labels or provide information about the unhealthiness of the food.
@9RPSS4V10mos10MO
Nicotine products shouldn't be in the same category as food products considered "junk food". So my stance is restrict nicotine products but junk food is ok.
@GuitarLord25Progressive 12mos12MO
Regulations on marketing that we see for cigarettes and alcohol should be sufficient for most products that have an inherent addictive element. PSAs and other accessible educational materials will also be critical in reducing overall unhealthy behavior.
