No, because the idea of electric cars is very dangerous as when in car wrecks, it is common to have the doors lock up and have no way to open them besides cutting the person out of their car.

 @9ZFS65QRepublican from Minnesota  answered…6mos6MO

I think electric cars are dangerous and harmful to the environment and should be removed from the planet.

 @9YM3JN8Republican from Texas  answered…6mos6MO

No, gas cars are amazing, electric cars can fail us. Gas cars have been around for a long time, why change it now? If it could of been done a long time ago,….? I think the electric cars are really dumb and they absolutely have no purpose. If we have to “charge” it at home, our electricity bills will go up, think smarter not harder.

 @9YL5XVXRepublican from Guam  answered…6mos6MO

States should vote on this issue, and even then, electric cars should not be forced into the population.

 @9YKFHQZRepublican from California  answered…6mos6MO

I believe electric and hybrid cars are more helpful but not everyone can afford them and it would be unfair if electric and hybrid cars were required.

 @9YK2XDPRepublican from Washington  answered…6mos6MO

All cars should strive to be hybrid or electric but they shouldn't be forced to be yet maybe in 10 years

 @9YJCJ9DRepublican from Tennessee  answered…6mos6MO

no, because electric and battery powered cars manufacturing rates should be extremely cut down due to the lack of jobs needed for electric car Maintenace

 @9YDZLL4Republican from Oklahoma  answered…6mos6MO

If the government does that, then they should fully pay for anyone who may not be able to afford to have their car transitioned. I do believe it should be done.

 @9YBTJHPRepublican from Indiana  answered…6mos6MO

No! Those cars are expensive, and farmers drive diesel trucks to haul equipment. Our world will not be going full electric a quick as they think.

 @9Y4HH39Republican from Wisconsin  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, only if energy production is shifted first to a more sustainable means. eg. nuclear or hydro-electric

 @9Y2KFPSRepublican from Indiana  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, but it depends on how soon. I don't believe they should require only electric or hybrid vehicles till at least 2034.

 @9XZR3P4Republican from Illinois  answered…6mos6MO

no, you will kill the electric grid by mandating all new cars be electric. we do not produce enough energy, nor have the current infrastructure to supply the necessary amount to make this happen.

 @9XY3LYXRepublican from Kansas  answered…6mos6MO

I'm sorry didn't know I was in a communist place , no that's stupid let the French or Canadians do something dumb like that.

 @9XXVGB7Republican from Wisconsin  answered…6mos6MO

No this is how you start a revolution and I will end up going against it because I religiously refuse to drive a hybrid or an electric vehicle

 @9XXK8GM from Delaware  answered…6mos6MO

No, our current grid cannot support this mandate. Consumers should also have a choice in their purchases

 @9XXJSJJRepublican from Maryland  answered…6mos6MO

I personally think there should be no such thing as an electric car except for golf carts but on any other vehicle I do not think that electric cars should be created at any point in time

 @9XX3TZYRepublican from Ohio  answered…6mos6MO

think about the people who live in the west!!! you dummies, how do you think you would live out there and get from place to place, without stopping to charge the stupid thing? (answer that for me and I might think about it)

 @9XVTWNQRepublican from Missouri  answered…6mos6MO

yes, protect the earth from air pollution. And to reduce carbon dioxide and monoxide released into the air from vehicles.

 @9XVMVS7Republican from Alabama  answered…6mos6MO

i feel like yes eventually all cars should be eletric at some point but we need to find a save way to dispose of the batteries and keep the cars from catching fire.

 @9XT73GDRepublican from North Carolina  answered…6mos6MO

Yes and no, people shouldn’t give up there car but I think electric cars should be more widely available because there better for the environment.

 @9XT732DRepublican from North Carolina  answered…6mos6MO

Yes and no people shouldn’t give up there car but I think electric cars should be more wildly available because there better for the environment.

 @9XR9RMM from Washington  answered…6mos6MO

i believe its good to atleast have more hybrids available. but it should not be required. we are free to make our own choices after all

 @9XL3B8TRepublican from Missouri  answered…6mos6MO

The government should focus on creating the infrastructure to help us with the switch to electric vehicles.

 @9XKCFQ2Republican from Ohio  answered…6mos6MO

No, because gas businesses will go out of business and gas vehicles help people get around certain terrain that electric cant.

 @9XK5XXFRepublican from New Jersey  answered…6mos6MO

No but more cars should be converting due to environmental issues but there needs to be a loudness for visual impaired people.

 @9XK38PBRepublican from Illinois  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, but before they set a date they should inform this a lot of times so nobody is surprised when it finally happens.

 @9XH2PCQRepublican from North Dakota  answered…6mos6MO

In hotter climates I would not mind electric cars because up in the North it gets cold during the wintertime. Those electric cars just don't cut it up here.

 @9XGBRR9Republican from Texas  answered…6mos6MO

they need to stop trying to make electric cars a thing because its just as bad if not worse for the enviorment

 @9XF4N8J from Connecticut  answered…6mos6MO

NO, because certain people believe EV's are safe, even though they can ignite worse and take longer to extinguish.

 @9XC79TQRepublican from Washington  answered…7mos7MO

They should enact this law except for cars that are quicker than a certain speed or vehicles that need to be heavy machinery

 @9X968LQRepublican from Florida  answered…7mos7MO

They shouldn't require, but slowly change out cars that cause a lot of carbon emissions to be more environmentally better which do not impact the buyer.

 @9X8SDXZRepublican from New York  answered…7mos7MO

The government should push towards electric or hybrid vehicles to become more implemented into civilization, but they should make it more available to people so that this is possible.

 @9X5DLBLRepublican from Utah  answered…7mos7MO

Yes but the date needs to be further in the future to give us enough time to have the technologically to not be as reliant on coal burning power plants.

 @9X4C9FKRepublican from Ohio  answered…7mos7MO

Maybe after they make it avaliable to everyone. Like prices on electric vehicles more affordable and availability of chargers

 @9X24ZH5Republican from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

More cars should be electric or hybrid, and more advertised, but regular cars should still be available. Just minimize regular vehicles.

 @9WZ6QJQRepublican from Idaho  answered…7mos7MO

No, many researchers say we're not ready to go fully electric, it'll be setting us back instead of forward.

 @9WYZJDCRepublican from Indiana  answered…7mos7MO

No, because there will be more vehicles shutting down because their eletric from wiring issues and battery issues but i design semis the will run for millions of miles and not have problems but I wont trust them till theyu get proven

 @9WSDHMGRepublican from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, It would be really good for the environment, but the overall car usage, control, and quality is always split good/bad while gas vehicles seem to be better

 @9WR477FRepublican from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

I think they should add a 50/50 rule where 50% of cars produced by a manufacturer need to be elctric/hyrbid.

 @9WQ6VK6Republican from Kentucky  answered…7mos7MO

Yes but in the next 20-30 years the technology isn’t widely available enough for it to be forced everywhere.

 @9WPWVL3Republican from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

While I do think making vehicles hybrid or completely electric could somewhat reduce the use of fossil fuels, we still have to remember where the electricity to charge these vehicles comes from. I think a majority of vehicles should transition to electric to help with fuel usage. I think they should impose a 50/50 rule, where 50% of the cars produced by manufacturers has to be hybrid/electric, either or will work.

 @9WLZ752Republican from Virginia  answered…7mos7MO

I don't like the newer electric cars but I think that they should replace all gas cars with electric because it can help with our world and it;s bad doing like pollution

 @9WJZ267Republican from California  answered…7mos7MO

No because the newer electric cars are still not ready and can easily break down, as they are also very expensive to buy or repair. As Gasoline cars have already been around longer and we understand the technology underneath the frame as the back of our hands

 @9WJLYHHRepublican from Indiana  answered…7mos7MO

No, it is not fair for people who may not be able to even afford a electric and/or hybrid vehicle, or even be able to afford the "gas" for this car.

 @9WJ6BYDRepublican from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

I think yes but its expensive and it could cost but if inflation lowers and people can afford it then yes.

 @9WHZ9V6Republican from Pennsylvania  answered…7mos7MO

No, the government should never be allowed to force manufacturers what to make unless it is for military vehicles

 @9WHY5KGRepublican from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, but make it far off and achievable. I want us to have healthy, sustainable energy that is more effective than what we have now before we are forced to convert by a certain date.

 @9WHR64VRepublican from Massachusetts  answered…7mos7MO

Using electric doesn't lower emisions due to the fact most of the power is coming from fossil fuels being burned for power

 @9WHPG23Republican from Louisiana  answered…7mos7MO

Yes the government should require all new cars to be electric because climate change is a big deal but they should fund program making them cheaper for lower income people.

 @9WHLTWT from South Dakota  answered…7mos7MO

I think that it should be a right to have or not have an electric or hybrid vehicle:

1. Lower costs of electric vehicles.
2. Make electric vehicles mandatory in some places that struggle from Air Pollution.
3. Lower the cost it takes to charge your electric vehicles.

 @9W9DRBSRepublican from Tennessee  answered…7mos7MO

No, but they should first manage the deficit then help fund programs encouraging the manufacture and use of them

 @9W93X7LRepublican from Ohio  answered…7mos7MO

them making all vehicles electric and technology powered gives them the ability to track everyone and possibly control where people go

 @9W924CKRepublican from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

I believe we can be equal and all Americans have a choice to buy a gas fueled car & electric car, it shouldn't be enforced as a law, it should be up to people who want there own vechiles.

 @9W8PPDCRepublican from Idaho  answered…7mos7MO

No, common sense says ensure manufacturers make safe and reliable vehicles. Hybrid vehicles would be my first choice if we were to make all manufacturers one choice.

 @9W8N7Z9 from Virginia  answered…7mos7MO

Only if climate change or breathing air gets worse and everyone should at least have one of these two for free but charge them for the first year.

 @9W5TPGB from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

no why would u ruin a good brad of cars by making it "electric" the only reasons cars are good cuz they loud and useful

 @9W5Q24CRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…7mos7MO

Electric and hybrid cars are a good idea, but we don't have any infrastructure, or ways to deal with emergencies including them such as fires. We should keep using gas cars but still engineer new ideas about electric cars.

 @9W3RSGWRepublican from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

when the infrastructure is there to allow fully electric vehicles then they should encourage it but have it not be mandatory

 @9W3CHQ2Republican from New York  answered…7mos7MO

No because it still would not fix enviornmental issues and then likely cause economic issues putting people out of jobs and buisness

 @9W38Z7LRepublican from New York  answered…7mos7MO

Free Market and Invisible Hand should motivate people to purchase electric. There should not be a target date if the price is too lofty

 @9W27W2B from Utah  answered…7mos7MO

this country is about being free and having your own opinion. so I think you should have the choice because electric vehicles aren't pultent free either how do you think they make the batteries and things like that they have to use gas things for that and I think that electric vehicles aren't reliable at all

 @9VZD8DB from Virginia  answered…7mos7MO

No, the government does not currently have the infrastructure to support mass amounts of electric vehicles.

 @9VZ8TDJRepublican from Michigan  answered…7mos7MO

No, when they turn everything to electrical then we are adding cost to our electricity bills that are already very expensive and soon, people will not be able to afford electricity. and what about people who have to live in their cars.

 @9VVT78MRepublican from New Jersey  answered…7mos7MO

yes and no but its really should be people's decision if they want either a gas car or a electric car. I think we should keep both of these in our world.

 @9VSVD23Republican from Nevada  answered…7mos7MO

No they should make all delivery vehicles electric like semi trucks and Amazon and fed ex trucks electrical

 @9VRLYXBRepublican from Arkansas  answered…7mos7MO

its depend who will be a next president in the USA . For Joe Bidden his idea is to remove gas car and replace them is electric and hybrid . But the opposite idea of Trump is NOT

 @9VQ3L2HRepublican from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

If they arent over 70,000 then yes i feel that if everything become electric it could help quiet a bit

 @9VFG334 from Missouri  answered…7mos7MO

I think we should make electric/hybrid cars cheaper so that people will be more attracted to them and be less drawn to fuel cars

 @9SYKJRYRepublican from New York  answered…8mos8MO

Absolutely not the whole point of having a car is to get messy and fix it listen to the roar of the gas powered motor and not drive a microwave

 @9SPZ9JDRepublican from Missouri  answered…9mos9MO

No, I 100% believe that people should have the option on what kind of car they want to drive and spend their money on.

 @9RJF46SRepublican from Florida  answered…10mos10MO

Add incentives for more conversion to Electric to make competitive or cheaper than gas and diesel vehicles, but do not outright ban gas and diesel vehicles

 @9R43RHNRepublican from Utah  answered…10mos10MO

No because it should require all cars to be gone by a certain date and replaced with public transport

 @9V59MYPfrom Pennsylvania  answered…8mos8MO

I believe that the government needs to do things to make sure global warming isn't a huge factor for the future generations but there still needs to be allowed certain job vehicles for the owners of trucking companys, etc.

 @9NC45VKRepublican from Indiana  answered…12mos12MO

No, this would make it impossible for farmers to do their jobs leading to world famine.

 @9NF9B4MRepublican from Iowa  answered…12mos12MO

No, but drivers who emit carbon emissions should pay a gas tax for the use of the air (which they already do); also, power plants which produce the electricity (such as that used to charge electric cars) by emitting carbon should also pay a tax for the use of the air

 @9Y7KJXMRepublican from Minnesota  answered…6mos6MO

NO. electric vehicles seem to be getting better, but this would put an end to the gas car era, which would mean to get to Duluth would take about 6 hours instead of 1...

 @9WB4H9T from Utah  answered…7mos7MO

No

There is no way to make this possible! If someone wants to buy one then more power to them. But requiring them for everyone is an impossible task. The electrical grid could not handle it. Plus most insurance companies will not insure a home with an electric vehicle charger installed in their garage! I will be more than happy to just keep driving my DIESEL POWERED truck!
