Electric and hybrid vehicles use electricity and a combination of electricity and fuel, respectively, to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and decrease emissions. Proponents argue that it significantly cuts pollution and advances the transition to renewable energy sources. Opponents argue that it increases vehicle costs, limits consumer choice, and may strain the electric grid.

Subsidies for low income citizens to afford the vehicles and require all corporations to transition to clean energy
@9ZQCD6XRepublican6mos6MO
This transition needs to happen eventually, but I firmly believe it should be a realistic date-not a forced date out of desperation, and the government needs to be heavily involved in the infrastructure improvements and the funding to create better EV technologies, rather than just commanding companies to quickly adapt.

If you are able to afford it then yes but if you are a lower class and can only buy a gas power car then no. Well, also tesla can lower their prices for the lower class people.
@9Y84JMP6mos6MO
yes and no i think we should stop making fuel cars but still let people have them but just stop making them.
@9XVPHNG6mos6MO
I think this should be considered but why would we make our top sports cars worth hundreds of thousands electric. In general for the average person it would be good but for all the cars not necessarily.
@9XCJZKS7mos7MO
Whatever is best for the environment because making electric cars may end up being worse for the environment.
@9X4CL737mos7MO
If they want to do that they should be ready to pay for the people who cant afford electric or hybrid cars
@ALcubbybear88Independent 7mos7MO
Yes, but also expand options that also include hydrogen and solar and also upgrade our electric grid system.
Not as of now, as the industry isn't quite ready for that from what I know, but at some point there should be a shift.
@9WBLDN27mos7MO
Yes, but they have to provide the means for everyone in every financial situation to make that attainable.
@9W4GNSY7mos7MO
I think it would be better for the enviorment to have electric cars but they are more expensive for people with not much money and also use a lot of energy.
No, fuel efficiency is what matters the most because it takes more energy to make an electric or hybrid car.

As of recently with hurricane Helene, it has caused countless amounts of electric cars to explode due to saltwater getting into places it shouldn’t be. Showing how unreliable and bad electric cars can be in a time like that.
