Should individuals who choose to live in known flood-prone areas be held responsible for their choice when disaster strikes, or is it the government's duty to protect all citizens regardless?

I think it’s the governments duty and their duty too because obviously there gonna need a little help.

I don't really care, as it isn't in my power or authority to speak on a country that I am not in.

Imagine the government advised your community to evacuate due to an impending flood; how would you react and what steps would you take first?

 @9LZCZGD from California  answered…2yrs2Y

I would follow the government’s warning, take the essentials of what me and my family need to survive until help arrives, and evacuate to a city away from the flood.

 @9LZCLWN from Missouri  answered…2yrs2Y

I would evacuate but if government would not pay anything to me I would protest

If your home was threatened by floods, would you prioritize saving personal belongings or ensuring the safety of neighbors and why?

 @9LZCZGD from California  answered…2yrs2Y

I would prioritize saving personal belongings because I’m sure my neighbors are doing the exact same thing.

 @9LZCLWN from Missouri  answered…2yrs2Y

Ensuring the safety of neighbors if it is bad, also depends on my relationships with my neighboors

It's heartbreaking to see the catastrophic effects of the floods in Kenya, which serve as a glaring example of how climate change is impacting our world's most vulnerable communities. This disaster underscores the urgent need for global cooperation on climate action and sustainable development to prevent such tragedies in the future.
