Surveillance Bill Clears Key Hurdle in Senate Ahead of Friday Expiration

https://nytimes.com

Republicans and Democrats voted to advance a measure to extend a warrantless surveillance law, but skeptics in both parties were still pushing to make substantial changes before a final vote.

Is it justified to surveil individuals without a warrant to prevent potential threats?

I'm really concerned about the Senate moving closer to renewing this surveillance law. It seems like every time we have to choose between privacy and security, privacy takes a backseat without much of a debate. We need to ensure there are strong safeguards in place to protect individual rights and prevent the misuse of surveillance powers.

I can't believe the Senate is actually considering renewing this invasive surveillance law. It's just another example of the government trampling on our privacy rights under the guise of security.

How would you feel if you found out your privacy was being compromised in the name of national security?
