What are your thoughts on the psychological impact of captivity and sexual abuse, and how can society better understand and support survivors?

 @9L5M87J from Connecticut  commented…2yrs2Y

my opinion on this subject is that there are too many victims of sexual abuse, and there should be more punishment for any abusers.

Considering Amit Soussana's account of her captivity, what does this say about the treatment of women in conflict zones, and how does it affect your view on war?

 @9L5NC4D from Washington  commented…2yrs2Y

Women are often treated verly poorly, when in reality they should be treated no different than men, and just because of a war does not give the right for men to take advantage of women especially if innocent.

How do you think international organizations should react when they receive reports of sexual violence in conflict areas like Amit Soussana's case?

The double standards against Israel are so blatant that at this point it's not even a surprise. Hamas raped and mutilated Israeli women, and yet, several polls claim that the self-proclaimed "activists" believe that these were justified, all the while ignoring their use of their people as human shields and cannon fodder. Condemning the actions of Hamas or classifying them as a terrorist organisation does not go far enough; this has to be held to the same standard as the sexual violence and horrific actions committed by ISIS and the Taliban as well as the responsibility for their own people's deaths. The Palestinian people cannot hope for recognition or support from the Western world if they let the likes of Islamic extremists define who they are.

Thanks for posting this. I guess Hamas aren’t the poor, misunderstood people that Palestine tries to convince us they are.
