One could plausibly make the case that the best way to understand the real political divide in the US is between those who want our political discourse to be policed, limited and controlled by the Kate Starbirds of the world, and those who don't.

Correct. I talk to many people of many different political persuasions. None of us want to silence the other, even when we disagree. That's a healthy society. Authoritarians have no interest in a healthy society.

Should the perceived neutrality of academic research on topics like misinformation influence who receives government grants and why?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Do you believe that a researcher's personal political donations matter when evaluating the objectivity of their work on controversial issues like misinformation?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How do you feel about researchers involved in political processes investigating claims that could affect the reputation of those they support?

What needs to be understood is that Starbird is a principal investigator with Univ. of Washington's "Center for an Informed Public" which was (is?) part of the US Security State's censorship program during the Covid pandemic and the 2020 election. This "Center" was a key member of the "Election Integrity Partnership", a gov't funded cabal that worked to censor information to help elect Joe Biden. "60 Minutes" simply is a US Security State propaganda operation.

I mean... look at her. Listen to her. We did not need to be told that, it was obvious.

All Democrats are fascists, as are all "disinformation experts."

 @LobbyistMonkeyNo Labelsfrom Maine  commented…2yrs2Y

"Misinformation expert" is a fake credential. It was invented after 2016 to disguise political censorship as a act of neutral science.

The idea that people like this can be floating arbiters of truth and falsity - and their decrees should be binding -- is a laughable fraud.

All of these Mainstream media outlets are Propagandists. These outlets accusations of misinformation, conspiracy and/or corruption indicate the very same things they themselves practice.

There is no such thing as Dis/Mis-information. It’s a made up narrative to cover for censorship. It’s all just simple “information”. You decide what you believe, what you don’t, and how you act on it. Simple, and apparently beyond the ability of some to grasp.
