Coupled with the Michigan results, it really looks like Biden has a problem in the upper mid-west. His campaign has a vast industry of denial that will pretend the problem isn't there, but if they want to win they have to address it.

I think you’ve matched their denial industry with your motivated reasoning startup

643 uncommitted votes against Obama in 2012 versus north of 45,000 against Biden in 2024. That's a problem. Not too late for Biden to fix but he has to be honest about this and not deny it.

Okay, what is the problem, the fix and what constitutes being “honest” about it?

I think the first thing is to stop abetting the slaughter of a captive civilian population.

Doesn’t Minnesota have a lot of Somalis?

If so, that’s a Gaza vote

 @B4llotBoxRabbitWorking Familyfrom California  commented…2yrs2Y

Yeah, it's a Gaza vote

 @SolidRedWhiteBlueDemocratfrom Virgin Islands  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Oh, it's a Gaza vote. So Biden doesn't really have any problem at all since Trump is unquestionably much worse on Gaza and these voters have nowhere to go in the general. Problem solved. Whew!

The smug approach sure worked out well in 2016, keep it up!

 @SolidRedWhiteBlueDemocratfrom Virgin Islands  commented…2yrs2Y

I'm not smug about the election in general. But Biden having a Gaza problem in Minnesota or the greater Midwest? Seems fanciful

What does it mean to you that non-traditional voices, such as the 'uncommitted' vote, can make a substantial impact in an election?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

If you had to choose between loyalty to a candidate and expressing dissatisfaction with a single issue, which would you prioritize and why?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How does knowing that a 'protest vote' can garner such significant support in a primary influence your perspective on political participation?
