Houthis stand with the oppressed Palestinians while America stands with shareholder profits. Trump stood upto the war lobby and got the US out of Afghanistan and Biden has immediately involved the US in three new conflicts. I may vote for trump as he is not warmonger.

Yemen has been warring and starving for decades and the U.S. has never cared about the suffering there. Only when their fighters get the idea of attacking international shipping does the U.S. acknowledge the existence of the place and set out to wipe out the threat. I wonder if this could be another graveyard of empires, like Afghanistan?

Should be noted, as well, that the Houthis were also heavily radicalized by our actions in Iraq over 20 years ago.

Still, the Houthis are a mouse before a lion and should have been handled as such. Not like this. It's not the HOUTHIS I'm worried about and at its heart, I don't believe this Yemen strike was about them. It was about somebody else.

It's about this long desired war (by some) between the US and IRAN. THAT'S what I'm worried about.

The Houthis are another one of Iran’s local terrorist franchises along with Hamas, Hezbollah and Shia militias in Iraq. Military action against the Houthis is an absolute requirement. The world simply cannot tolerate the closure of a major shipping lane and the Suez Canal via their missile and drone attacks and vessel seizures. I would also not be surprised if Russia has been consulted on this matter by their ally and recent weapons supplier, Iran.
