When these 2 tests were 8 years apart, they could hardly be claimed to be consecutive. What’s more worrying is that a bought-in product has repeatedly had issues. Perhaps they need to be fired more regularly to provide an enhanced level of confidence in the product ?

Since the trident missiles (not the warheads) are provided by the US from their pool of missiles, it’s worth asking whether they aren’t ‘fixing’ the ones they send to us to make sure they don’t work.

The American tests from the same pool of missiles aren’t failing.

Royal Navy really doesn’t have its finest hours:

- 2 ships colliding

- 2 carriers out of order

- Sub misfires Trident

What is next? It will be a long 2024 for Royal Navy.

Would the knowledge of repeated nuclear weapon test failures affect your opinion on your nation's nuclear deterrence policy?

How does the failure of such a critical defense system shape your trust in your country's military capabilities and decision-making?
