Police departments already carry a majority of military grade equipment as the military buys in bulk for cheap
@9J9JCJY1yr1Y
No because that would make the citizens feel threatened and not safe, also police might abuse those weapons, or accidentally use them.
@9J9GR7K1yr1Y
Yes, but only in higher crime rate areas, and require strict training on how and when to use the equipment.
@9GN59ST2yrs2Y
I think they should be able to use some military grade equipment, but only with strict training on how and when to use it.
@9FX8N67 2yrs2Y
yes, but only when given permission by a higher up in extreme situations other than that police to not need those types of weapons'
@96HL6SK3yrs3Y
yes but depends to what problem they needing to use military equipment
@95JQXKB3yrs3Y
I would say yes but police officals need more than just training in the job field, as we have seen especiall prominent over the past few years. Theyre needs to be consequences and incentive for police offciers.
@8Z5VD343yrs3Y
what would you call military grade equipment
@8XRDZML3yrs3Y
Yes, as long as they also have perpetually live-streamed body cams
@8W6XKSH4yrs4Y
yes, with special units trained to use military grade equipment and only deployed as a line of defense against extreme situations
@8VP4Q4Q4yrs4Y
Depends on the situation and the equipment they want to use because bringing a tank in might not be all that cool.
@8Q9VDSL4yrs4Y
Yes, but only in response to extreme situations and increase punishment to officers who make a mistake during these times

What I have heard and seen over the news and read in articles about what police have been doing in the last year disgusts me. I have no faith in them to do the right thing. And why yes they need those guns to "protect" it also doesn't mean for them to use them like some toy. I'm just scared they're going to shoot me just because of my skin color and for clarification, I'm a Mexican-American with chocolate brown skin. So that should give some ideas of how messed up our police are.
