Voluntary buyback first but there needs to be more mental health questions and background checks for anyone interested in purchasing a firearm

No, they should not be mandatory. There should be a large increase in mental health and background checks and I do not think someone should be able to buy an assault weapon, there is no reason for having one.

Poor question- Assault weapons. That term is used loosely. Ban automatic weapons, tanks, rocker launchers? They are already except under special situations. Semi automatic firearms-- No... 2nd amendment is a constitutional right an shall not be infringed upon.

Banning guns in America is almost impossible, but low recoil high capacity semi-auto weapons should be regulated, and a voluntary buyback should be in place where the gun manufacturers use their money to buyback the weapons.

Assault weapons should be more in the hands of military, police but with proper training and understanding of usage.

 @8W6FFRW from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

no, federal government should be selling their own supply of any type of weapon to the public

 @9CXXXRC from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but future purchases for all firearms, and to continue owning them must pass yearly physical and mental health checks. Similar to keeping a CDL or pilots license, in order to purchase or keep you have yearly contact for continued approval.

No on multiple reasons. One: "Assault weapon" is a made up term, two: It violates the text of the constitution, three: the Militia is not a part of government, the militia is the whole people, and it is required for the militia to have the best tools at its disposal in order to preserve the security of a free state. All gun laws should be repealed, and the ATF should be abolished, the pensions of former employees of the ATF should be terminated, and those involved in the countless constitutional violations committed by the ATF should be criminally charged.
