No, because that would start even more problems with the religious community. Also, Israel already has Tel Aviv. the UN Security ruled that Israel cannot have Jerusalem as the capital of Israel for the exact reason I stated.

Yes, but only west Jerusalem. East Jerusalem is the capital of palestine

 @9DDV4TSIndependent from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, it should recognized as the joint capital of Palestine and Jerusalem

No, it should be independently administrated by an international coalition of troops along with other holy sites in the region

 @9NLWQ3X from New York  answered…12mos12MO

Yes, if there is an agreed upon comprehensive peace deal reached between the governments of Israel and Palestine that includes such recognition.

 @9MQ69F4 from New York  answered…1yr1Y

We need to see an end to this conflict, Israel needs to stop committing war crimes and Palestine must get rid of its terrorists. Then we can negotiate a fair and peaceful solution.

 @9KNYCD6 from New York  answered…1yr1Y

No, Jerusalem is the capital of the Kingdom of Jerusalem , ether restore the Kingdom or free Palestine

 @9JK5KBV from New York  answered…1yr1Y

its Palestine not Israel. Israel is a Terrorist state that is committing a genocide and it is supported by the united state government. also yes Jerusalem should be the capital.

 @9HNC2VK from New York  answered…1yr1Y

They should be the ones to decide that but if a peaceful agreement is reached the US should support it.

 @9HC3L8V from New York  answered…1yr1Y

The land is not controlled by either country and is left as a place where all religious groups can visit freely

 @9GPVNN7 from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

It depends on what both Israel and Palestine agrees on, but I’d support it if Jerusalem were to be Israel’s capital

 @9FJWX8PRepublican from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

No, it should be an independent nation, or "city-state" (solitary land just as the Vatican City is for Catholicism or as Washington D.C. is our nation's capital separate from any one state and city) and it is otherwise not the United States' business to interfere with

 @9DRV8NP from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9DLMC5J from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9DLLG4H from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

No, and make Jerusalem a U.N funded unincorporated land open to all religions

 @9D8S4VZ from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

This issue is a matter for negotiation amongst between Israel and Palestine as well as the U.S.

 @98WSLH8Democrat from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Countries besides Israel and Palestine should not interfere in their conflict unless clearly warranted

 @9CPV7VL from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Palestine should gain sovereignty and both nations should peacefully decide on their respective capitals.

 @98W7CKQ from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

 @96BMSYT from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

As aforementioned, treat Israel and Palestinian as international territory, and recognize neither of them

 @94C8DHM from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

 @947KQ4M from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

We shouldn’t get so involved and declare what the capital of another country is

 @9446BLJ from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93X6X3B from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

If Jerusalem belongs to anyone, it belongs to the Catholic Church, thank you very much.

 @93RLY95 from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

What the capital is for a foreign country is none of our business. That is up to them.

 @93M4DQJ from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

 @7GWH6D9Republican from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No. The US Embassy should be relocated back to Tel Aviv and the US must immediately recognize Palestine along with the West and to establish an embassy in Ramallah for the purpose of neutrality. Jerusalem should only be granted the status of a Condominium between the two independent states with Israel only administering West Jerusalem while Palestine administers East Jerusalem.

No, it should be either split with East Jerusalem going to Palestine and West Jerusalem going to Israel, or it should be established as its own country

 @8YZ9NN2 from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

Jerusalem should be a poly-religious sovereign territory that is a neutral area for all humans

 @8YK2YQVConstitution from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

That’s non of our business what other countries do within their borders

To avoid political tension with Palestine for invalidating their claim of Jerusalem as their own capital, the Unites States should not recognize the capital as belonging to Israel and only continue to maintain peaceful relations.

There is too much conflict surrounding Israel so foreign embassies should not be relocated there. I personally do not care whether it is recognised as the capital or not.

 @8WD9N6D from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

not until israel withdraws from the west bank and ends the blockade of gaza

 @8TZDCZN from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

No, Israel and Palestine should figure out for themselves; America should not be able to decide for them.

No, for diplomatic reasons and in order to maintain a sense of stability in the region, Jerusalem shouldn't be recognized as the capital.

 @8QNBBGR from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

This has nothing to do with our country. Let them put it where they want.

 @8QC8Q7G from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8Q27LG3Independent from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

It should be a U.N. governed territory belonging to neither Israel or Palestine

 @8PYW84F from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8PKVCN3 from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

We should not be involved in Israel’s affairs unless another country declared war on them since they are our allies. Jurusalem being their capital is not our problem nor our business. If they believe it is what’s best for their country then so be it.

 @8PC77RJ from New York  answered…5yrs5Y

Jerusalem should become its own independent zone similar to Vatican City and preserved as a cultural heritage site for all Abrahamic religions

Favor an internationalization of Jerusalem, in order to keep the holy places away from either Israeli or Arab sovereignty

 @9C8ZWZY from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

I don’t the capital should be moved to Jerusalem. My concern is that it will cause a rift among all the citizens but I also don’t believe that Israel should be forced to deal with a group of people who went them all exterminated.

 @9BD4G83 from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

 @99NDYTY from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Jerusalem is only to be recognized as Israel’s capital and disregard Palestinian claims

 @99M3FB3 from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Jerusalem should not belong to either Israel or the Palestinian State; it should be sanctioned as an international city.

 @9992Z9KGreen from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of Israel but we should continue to attempt to create a solution that includes Palestinian aid.

 @98X6W5M from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

It is a lot more complicated. In my opinion, both Palestine and Israel should have the right to exist, but the Israeli government is oppressive and needs to change.

 @98TWNWZ from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

I understand that there is conflict over this issue and that Jerusalem is technically part of Palestine while holding incredible religious value. However, I staking my claim that it is not a position and not my opinion to deal with matters like this, and can only be solved by Isreal and Palestine. Whatever choice they agree to we will have to accept.
