No, and force the Native Americans to move elsewhere or fine them for staying

 @B54Q5HD  from New York  answered…2wks2W

As long as it was approved constitutionally, and it doesn't break any governmental rules or regulation, I don't see the problem

 @B4GMNMGProgressive from New York  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, if it can provide work for its employees and if it reroutes the pipeline away from Native land.

 @B4FMX6Q from New York  answered…1mo1MO

Yes and no I don’t like that they’re polluting the original people of America land but also yes because I think America should be self sufficient with energy but at the same time I don’t mind getting help from other countries we’re all human

 @B3DFF8N from New York  answered…2mos2MO

Reroute the pipeline away from Native Land and Drastically increase the amount of fines in case of an accident to the point that it will cause bankruptcy.

 @B3BYXH6 from New York  answered…2mos2MO

No but a make a big fine for a company to pay if there was a accident and should'nt be allowed to make more pipelines in Native American lands

 @B27MCZP from New York  answered…4mos4MO

yes, and remove other pipelines and fossil fuel harvesting and power generator infrastructure and replace it with renewables and nuclear infrastructure

 @9ZWQVPX from New York  answered…5mos5MO

No, but reroute it away from Native American land, and make Environmental protection technology on the pipeline more stringent and reliable.

 @9ZS479Q from New York  answered…6mos6MO

No, but relocate pipeline away from Native American land, and increase penalty and fines is an accident occurs.

 @9VC8P9F from New York  answered…7mos7MO

No, but reroute the pipeline away from American Indian land or compensate the tribes affected by the construction

 @9VC5X82 from New York  answered…7mos7MO

The pipeline should be rectified under one company or under the state or federal government, whoever it is the should be fully responsible for the aftermath and cleanup of a spill.

 @9V9ML9Q from New York  answered…7mos7MO

No but instate fees and regulations and protocols that must be followed in order to respect Native American Land

 @9TVXWVT from New York  answered…8mos8MO

To proceed, it must show that benefits to the nation as a whole outweigh the disadvantages including impact on environment and those directly affected by its constant. I've always believed that natural resources belong to the whole nation, should be equitably shared and not subject to profiteering by private corporations.

 @9TDKCWB from New York  answered…8mos8MO

Yes the government should stop construction and cut off the pipeline to prevent any environmental damage in these areas.

 @9TD5Y32 from New York  answered…8mos8MO

The company should be fined heavily in the event of an accident AND redirect the pipeline away from Native American land.

 @9TCVZNH from New York  answered…8mos8MO

Yes a project like this should not be a high priority when we are trying to move away from the use of oil, plus we should not be taking any more land away from the Native Americans

 @9T7SHSFConstitution from New York  answered…8mos8MO

I look at this in a way if it is creating more jobs why stop something that is going to make the USA independent, we shouldn't have to depend on another country for oil if we have enough here in the USA.

 @9T56GDS from New York  answered…8mos8MO

No, but increase fines to pay, move away from native land, and find a less environmentally harmful way to do it

 @9SXNM6F from New York  answered…8mos8MO

No, but reroute it off of Native American lands and drastically increase the fines the company must pay in the event of an accident

 @9SL65GS from New York  answered…9mos9MO

Not familiar with this but if its a more efficient way to transport fuel and is done without gov assistance let if happen

 @9KHJWQD from New York  answered…1yr1Y

Regardless any projects involving eminent domain should involved heavy compensation to those losing property, and heavy fines paid TO THE AFFECTED COMMUNITIES in case of accident.

  @realmichaeljlongLibertarian  from New York  answered…1yr1Y

The Government should not be involved with the North Dakota Access Pipeline. not at the Federal level, not at the state level, and not at the local, and county levels of government whether or not the pipeline gets done, should be between the community, including the Native American communities, and the community at large and the Free Market, they're the ones that need to work out whether the pipeline can be built here in the United States, The Free Market needs to be fully involved with this project and the community and not the government.

 @9JBGBTC from New York  answered…1yr1Y

no, but companies exporting oil from the US should be taxed at enormous rates for exporting american oil, and profits from american oil should be used to invest in transitioning away from oil.

  @Yaunti2  from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and the government should abolish private property to prevent private companies from putting people endanger ever again

 @9FLDVRR from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

they were ask to not put it though a source of fresh water, they could have rerouted it.

 @9FKPX6K  from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, if this pipeline will negatively impact/affect Native American reservations then it should be stopped. But if the pipeline can be moved away or around Native American reservations and have no negative impacts on these reservations then I think it could be continued.

 @9FJRDJQ from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, it should it is on non-American soil determined by a treaty with the Standing Rock Sioux Nation which is a sovereign nation.

 @9DGX9FM from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8Y985X4 from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

The government should not stop construction of the Dakota Access pipeline because the people in the U.S. need the oil for their vehicles and for electricity. However, the pipeline shouldn't produce too much oil because it can be harmful for the environment.

 @9S6HP7ZWorking Family from New York  answered…9mos9MO

No, but both reroute the pipeline to not affect Native American lan and increase fines for the company incase of and event of an accident

 @9G7RZ3S from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes and end it thoroughly because communities like the Native American communities are being attacked by this construction and this would protect the biodiversity of America and keep American people safe and protected

 @9G7L33H from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes this is hurting Native American communities and Congress should pass laws that give more restrictions to the environment from being attacked

 @8TGLPQQ from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

yes and pay significant reparations to all the indigenous communities' heritage lands that were desecrated

 @9CBLPK9 from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

No. Reroute the pipeline away from Native American land (which is funny it’s being termed that way, considering the entirety of America IS Native American land).

 @9BXCQ7S from New York  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but the government should respect the beliefs of the Native American tribes as well.

 @964CQLP from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

 @935LBXK from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but reroute away from Native American land and do not use eminent domain

 @92XZLTP from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but reroute the pipeline awau from Native American land and do not use eminent domain.

 @92QPF6L from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

First of all, reroute it from Native American land. Second, collectivize/socialize energy in the hands of the workers. Finally, keep the pipeline open as a short-term measure to reduce energy prices until we develop viable alternative energy sources.

 @8ZSLV9HConstitution from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZRDLZM from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

drastically increase the number of fines the company must pay in the event of an accident, the government should never be allowed to acquire land by eminent domain

 @8Z7V6ZZIndependent from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No but we should increase funding to make it out of safe materials that make it impossible for it to leak and reroute it away from native lands

 @8Z69PHT from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and the government should never be allowed to acquire land by eminent domain unless under the dress of war on our land.

 @8Z4CQT3 from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YGPYJ2 from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No but we should use materials that will 100 percent keep it from leaking in our water so it won’t be in native lands

 @8YGF48L from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YBQXWWRepublican from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Y43CZT from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but further negotiations with Native American tribes to ensure there is consent as to where the pipeline can be built.

 @8XNCYCVIndependent from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No but we should invest more into making it stronger to prevent leakage into water

 @8XN4FXX from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but make sure that local reservations are integrated into the pipeline's job pool, environmental precautions are upheld, and that renewable energy jobs are incentivized.

 @8XMJPK5 from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes but we should use safe materials for the pipe to prevent leakage and keep it out of native lands

 @8XC88NT from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but reroute away from Native American land and drastically increase fines in the event of an accident

 @8X9H88G from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

No they should not because First it affects the climate by pumping thousand of gallons of oil underground second its going over native lands and that shouldn't be allowed

 @8X4MHBRGreen from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

They should reoute the pipeline however I would prefer if work was done to use more green practices.

 @8X482YN from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8X23VBK from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

keep away from native american land and to shut its usage down once renewable energy is better and more affordable

 @8WYKBDW from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

No, because the current alternative--transport of oil by trail--is far riskier and more prone to accidental spills.

 @8VGD3VYIndependent from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but reroute the pipeline away from Native American land and ensure as little water could be polluted.

 @8T4PN3RLibertarian from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @radioisotopic from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

The pipeline should be taxed, with all companies directly benefitting having a proportionally substantial tax. The pipeline should be shutdown after other sources of electricity, transportation, and plastics are wildly available, but as for the foreseeable future it may have to be kept. I's better to monitor and regulate than it is to respond to an accident

 @8SYFJG6 from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SYDCQF from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but reroute the pipeline off of Native American land and increase the fines in the event of an accident to deter continuity of fossil fuel energy consumption.

 @8SWTPKKLibertarian from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

I don't mind what the government does with this, as long as it doesn't affect me.

 @8R7S5Z9 from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8Q7DJX5 from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8PWNKLJ from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, not only is the pipeline bad for the environment but it is also on Native American land and shouldn't have been started in the first place.

 @8PCC6V5 from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

Save more of the environment and Native American lands, interfere with company construction and fine for any problems

 @8NVCJ64 from New York  answered…5yrs5Y

No -- but reroute it away from Native American land and drastically increase fines in the event of an accident

 @8N3B9HC from New York  answered…5yrs5Y

Though it is beneficial for the economy it isn't for the environment, therefore they should stop or it can cause damage to our resources.

 @8JYFD9X from New York  answered…5yrs5Y

No, but the government should not be allowed to acquire land through eminent domain
